Food::Dinner @ La Moda Panciteria

        Our 2nd week was almost done.  Dinah and I were set to go to Manila the following Monday to take care of some important matters.  Mama took us all to dinner at La Moda Panciteria in Laoag which was quite famous for their egg noodles.   Ever since I started going to Laoag when Dinah and I were not yet married, they would always say that the egg noodles from La Moda were really good but we never went there even once.

         Their top seller was the "Canton Guisado" pictured above.  Tintin suggested we also order their fried chicken.

        Their menu offerings were classic comfort food and the ambiance brought back memories of La Perla Panciteria in Sta. Cruz, one of the oldest in Manila.  I can still remember as kids, when our Uncle Boy brought me and my cousin Serafin there for lunch after accompanying him to buy "pasalubong" for his fellow co-workers in Saudi Arabia.

        Of course, no meal at a panciteria would be complete without an ice-cold bottle of coke.

        I took this picture of Mandy, Dinah's niece snoozing on the table.  It gave literal meaning to the Filipino saying, "Natutulog sa pansitan" :)

         Thank you Mama and Papa for bringing us to La Moda.  We really enjoyed the experience of dining there.
