Places::Coron, Palawan (Day 2)

        It was the morning after we arrived in Coron.  I got up first and went outside our cottage to take pics.  I saw this unfamiliar insect clinging to the wall so I went ahead and attached the macro conversion rings of my Lensbaby to get a macro shot.  Up to now, I still don't know what insect this is.

         I also took a pic of how the resort looked like in the morning.  This pic was taken right outside the front porch.

        We went to the hotel's restaurant to have breakfast.  You could see a nice view of the bay from the restaurant.

         The breakfast buffet had garlic fried rice, hotdogs, beef tapa, scrambled eggs and lots of different cereals.

         I was the first one to finish breakfast so I took pics of the rest of the place while waiting for Dinah and the kids.  We planned on swimming again in the pool until 11 am before we check out that day.

         Dinah was even able to talk to the owner if she could get some Santol from their tree.  The owner, Carmela was very kind to oblige and asked one of her staff to get the long stick used for picking Santol.

         After Dinah got as much Santol she wanted, we went back to our cottage to change into our swim wear.  Carmela was even kind enough to send the knife, salt and vinegar that Dinah requested.

         Dinah did not join us swimming because she was busy with her Santol.  We stayed at the pool until 11 am.  I told Danii and Dylan that it was the perfect time to get familiar with their new snorkeling gear.

        It was also the perfect time for Danii to master her new Olympus Tough waterproof camera when taking pics underwater.

         After checking out from our hotel, we checked in to Mt. Tapyas Hotel which was much cheaper but far less luxurious than Asia Grand View.  This was where we stayed until our last day in Coron.  After checking in at Mt. Tapyas, we took a tricycle ride to the marketplace to get some lunch.  We were looking for Tita Esh Eatery which according to one blog I read had very delicious snacks.  We had Pancit Palabok, Lomi and Beef Mami for lunch and all 3 were surprisingly good.

         Later that night we explored Coron town and went to a souvenir store to buy some "pasalubongs".
